Fulfilling obligations deriving from Polish Law on Higher Education, in 2013 Gdansk University of Technology established EXCENTO as a Special Purpose Entity responsible for research commercialization.
Being fully owned by Gdansk University of Technology EXCENTO facilitates commercialization processes and sponsored research projects undertaken within University’s structures. Achieving its strategic goals EXCENTO takes advantage of University’s research infrastructure and closely cooperates with academic staff.
Enforced by a proper agreement, EXCENTO is provided with a full access to university’s background knowledge in forms of patents, know-how, licences etc.
